Mobile app development

Apps that ship to the store and survive the first update.

A mobile app development company for founders and operations teams who need a real app on real phones, not a prototype in a slide deck. iOS and Android, built with React Native where one codebase serves both and native where the hardware demands it, with the backend and admin panel designed alongside rather than bolted on later. Published pricing, fixed scopes, and you own the code, the store listings and the data in the contract.

Serving founders, CTOs and operations teams across the USA, UK and Europe. Fixed price, fixed timeline, from 4 weeks.

What we build

Four kinds of app, one standard of engineering.

MVP apps for startups

The version investors and first users can actually install: one platform or both, the core loop done properly, auth and payments wired once so the second release is not a rewrite. Scoped to what proves the idea, priced so the runway survives it.

Consumer and marketplace apps

Onboarding that converts, push notifications people do not switch off, offline states handled, and the store review process managed for you. Built to the performance bar the store rankings and the reviews will hold you to.

Internal, field and operations apps

The app your drivers, technicians, inspectors or sales reps use all day: barcode and camera flows, offline sync, role-based screens, and a web admin panel wired into what you already run. Distributed through the stores or privately to your own devices.

Companion apps for an existing SaaS

Your product already has a web app and an API. We build the mobile client against it, close the API gaps that mobile exposes, and keep the two in step. Usually scoped together with our custom software service.

How we work

Scoped in days, on a device in weeks, handed over with the keys.

Every engagement is a fixed price against a fixed scope, agreed before a line is written. You install working builds early, and you keep everything at the end.
01

Scope

A free 45-minute call, then a fixed-price proposal within 72 hours: platforms, screen list, integrations, and the backend it needs. If a progressive web app or an off-the-shelf tool serves you better, that is what the call concludes.

02

Build on your phone

Installable builds from the second week through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing, in your repository and your developer accounts from day one. You review the real app on a real device, not a Figma walkthrough.

03

Release and hand over

Store listings, screenshots, privacy declarations and review submission handled with you, not left as homework. Documentation, CI for builds, and a walkthrough for whoever inherits it. Support retainer, improvement cycle, or clean exit — decided before we start.

Who it fits

Built for teams who need the app to work on Monday.

  • Founders who need an MVP that installs, not a clickable prototype
  • CTOs who need a mobile client for an existing product without hiring a mobile team
  • Operations leads whose field staff are running the business through WhatsApp and paper forms
  • Product teams replacing an agency build that has become impossible to update
Technical stack

One codebase where it earns its keep, native where it does not.

React Native with Expo for most apps, so one TypeScript codebase ships to both stores and shares types with the backend. Swift or Kotlin for the screens where the hardware demands it, wrapped rather than rewriting the whole app. Behind it, the same stack as everything else we build: Node or Python services, Postgres, and AWS, chosen because you can hire for them. We will argue for the boring choice over the fashionable one when the boring one is easier to maintain after we leave.

Proof

Production systems, named clients.

Two published case studies with the metric on the page. Both are product outcomes rather than mobile metrics, and we would rather say so than dress them up as something else.
FAQ

Things teams ask us first.

Need a clearer answer? Ask directly. We reply within 24 hours.
How much does a mobile app cost to build?
A single-platform MVP with a simple backend runs $8,000-$18,000 over 4-7 weeks. A full first release on iOS and Android with auth, payments and an admin panel is $18,000-$45,000 over 7-12 weeks. A multi-platform app with offline sync, integrations and a custom backend is $45,000-$95,000 over 12-20 weeks. We publish these rather than hiding them behind a discovery call.
React Native or native?
React Native for most apps: one TypeScript codebase, both stores, shared types with your backend, and a hiring pool that overlaps with your web team. Native Swift or Kotlin for the specific screens that need it, such as heavy camera, Bluetooth or background processing, wrapped into the same app rather than rewriting all of it. We will tell you on the first call which your app needs.
Do you build the backend too?
Yes, and usually together. A mobile app without a coherent API, data model and admin panel becomes unmaintainable within a release or two. We design and build the whole path: app, API, database, admin, deployment. If you already have a backend, we build against it and close the gaps mobile exposes.
Who handles the App Store and Google Play release?
We do, with you. Developer accounts are opened in your name, and we prepare the listings, screenshots and privacy declarations, submit for review, and handle the rejection round if there is one. You own the accounts and the listings from day one.
Who owns the code?
You do: the code, the store listings, the developer accounts, the backend infrastructure and the data, in the contract. No per-seat licence on your own app, no vendor lock-in, and no situation where leaving us means rebuilding.
Can you take over an existing app?
Yes. We start with a read-only audit: what the app does, where it is fragile, whether the build still compiles on current toolchains, and what is safe to change first. You get that assessment whether or not you continue with us. It is the only honest way to quote a rescue.
What happens after launch?
Your choice of three: a support retainer that includes OS and store-policy updates, a fixed-scope improvement cycle, or a clean handover with documentation, CI and a walkthrough for your own team. We are explicit about this before we start, because mobile apps that nobody updates get removed from the stores.
How quickly can you start?
Discovery is a free 45-minute call, and a scoped fixed-price proposal follows within 72 hours. Build slots typically open within one to two weeks.

A free 45-minute call, then a fixed-price proposal within 72 hours — including the version where we tell you a progressive web app is all you need.
